We continue to expand and have decided to retain the photos of past fakes so as to keep a reference library. Many of the fakes offered months, weeks and days ago are relisted again and again.

Remember we are selling nothing, offering no services, reccomending nobody and have no interest in knowing your e mail address. We are a totally free service devoted to stopping the sale of fake and fraudulent pieces of Tiffany Studios. There is no other agenda.

Probably the most current prolific seller of fakes has several lamps and shades on Ebay at this time. The seller is using the name JAMIECOHEN961 but these lamps have been listed on Ebay before by sellers with a completely different name. These shades were fake then and they are fake now. Check out the listings and notice that the lamp is guaranteed to be real but what about the shade?.Bidding is and has been very active on the listings. Two of the lamps did not meet reserve and this is probably because the bidders realized that they are not real. There were 10 bids from one seller and he never did hit the reserve. Wonder if that bidder knows something the other bidders did not know. Be very careful.

The shade on the left is listed at $ .99 with no reserve and a notice to NOT e mail with any questions. Shipping from China is $158.

FAKE ---- FAKE ---- FAKE ---- FAKE ---- FAKE ---- FAKE

Direct from Ft. Myers, Florida comes another new fake listing from JAMIECOHEN961 who has been mentioned above because of the other four fakes recently listed. This new listing is Ebay 140018078990 and much can be learned from reading the listing. The seller states in the listing that "it is guaranteed old" and continues with "Both the shade and base are signed and numbered". Nowhere in the listing does it guarantee that the lamp or the shade are genuine Tiffany. Wonder why? The seller also shows you a new way to mark this fake by crudely stamping it on the side of the base instead of on the bottom of the base. It is not even a good fake but it surely is a fake.

UPDATE: Of the 13 bids placed to date on this fake lamp are 4 from RAYROB640 (now LOUISCEXP.625) who just happens to always be around to bid on some of this sellers items and never seems to meet the reserve. Strange?

NEW UPDATE: The fake lamps have been relisted and the seller has started to use the PRIVATE BIDDER feature so no one can tell the bidders that they are fake.

MORE NEW UPDATES: More fake lamps are being listed. Keep paying attention to this site to see the latest news about this seller.

CARRIE43326

CARRIE43326 and her bidding friend who never seems to reach reserve, have both been listed as "No Longer A Registered User" and when Ebay lets them back on, hopefully they will behave.

R1CK1E

The seller on the left has just entered the Tiffany business and has at least 20 pieces of fake Tiffany as perfume bottles, lamps and vases offered at this time. Appears that the seller has other fakes listed also. Watch out.

All of the above pieces are offered by R1CK1E and this is not all of his fake offerings. Ebay at it's worst.

The photos shown on the left are beginning to show up with some frequency and anytime you see it, it will be attached to a fake. Tiffany never used this as a signature and Broadway was never an address for Tiffany Studios.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

We just received an e mail from someone who just spent thousands of dollars on a lamp believing that it was genuine and the real thing. Suspicions made the buyer get a professional opinion and it was determined to be a fake and the buyer is trying to get their money back and is having a lot of trouble. The e mail asked why we had not shown a picture of the lamp. It is not possible to show every lamp but when we went to see the lamp on Ebay, it was clear that there were going to be problems. The simple tips shown on this site in different locations work every single time and pictures of every single fake are not always necessary. A review of that particular listing shows all of the signs we have warned you about and we will show these again. 1. USER ID KEPT PRIVATE - Why would any seller need this on the listing unless they are selling adult material. 2. LITTLE OR LOW FEEDBACK - Where would a low rated seller get 10 Tiffany lamps or even get one Tiffany lamp although it can happen and it sometimes does happen. 3. PRIVATE FEEDBACK - What is being hidden here? If there are negatives, are they because the item took a long time to receive or because it was never shipped? Did the buyer pay late or did the buyer not pay at all? 4. ITEM LOCATION - Why would someone not want to say where they are selling from? Northeast, Southeast, US Southwest Coast, Beautiful Hills of Tennessee or some other vague address does not answer the question and should do nothing more than raise more questions. For a perfect example, look at Ebay 160027363032 that just came on the market. The lamp is a fake - a review of the 845 pictures shown in TIFFANY AT AUCTION and a review of the hundreds of pictures in GLASS - BRONZES - LAMPS by Koch does not show a lamp that even comes close to this lamp. The patina looks like it was applied last night and it is very easy to see the lack of Tiffany quality. The seller - SUEQ404 - has a low rating and has been a bidder on some of the other fakes listed above but never seemed to reach reserve on these other fake lamps that were being sold from a vague address and from a seller with a low feedback rating.

COMMON SENSE IS YOUR BEST PROTECTION

The lamp mentioned above offered by SUEQ404 sold a few days ago for $7600 and had 22 bids on it. Now 4 days later, it is back and listed again on Ebay as 160030340054.still from SOUTH EAST and still USER ID KEPT PRIVATE. Since Ebay will not let us share in the bidders names, we can only wonder what is going on with this lamp being listed again. Just like the first time, it is still a fake. Be careful.

The two pictures to the right are from ESTATEDOCTOR who has many listing that are purchased from wholesalers and are reproductions and fakes. Never a guarantee.

ESTATEDOCTOR

ESTATEDOCTOR

Not to be outdone by the fake lamp sellers mentioned above, ESTATEDOCTOR just sold this fake vase for $338 and had 29 bids. Great that Ebay lets him also sell with the PRIVATE feature.

If you see this signature, you are looking at a fake. It appears all the time and is part of the mold. Tiffany signed his pieces after they were made so he could see that they were excellent before he signed them.

DENNISAUCTION

One of our SELLERS TO WATCH - SUEQ404 - has just relisted a fake and fraudulently signed Tiffany counterbalanced lamp for the third time this month. It sold (?) on September 10th for $7600 and had 22 bids. It sold (?) again on September 15th for $5000 and had 18 bids. It is now listed again and we will be sure and let you know what it sells for if it sells. Maybe the third time is the charm. Yes, the location of the item is vague, yes, the ID of the bidders is kept private and yes, the seller has a low feedback. There are a lot of these suspicious type of sales going on at this time with the fake lamps selling and then showing up for sale again in a few days. The one common thread is that they all seem to be coming from the SOUTH EAST or SOUTHEASTERN COAST. They might grow there but one thing is sure, they have never seen the Studios of Tiffany. --- On September 25th, 18 bidders ran this up to $5000 again, but were any of the bids real or were they shill bids?

The inkwell - some call it a door knocker - on the left is an old scam that has been on Ebay many many times. Today it is listed 5 times. The first time it is listed in the Collectibles catagory by OSAGEOAKS who likes to sell fakes and it is listed for $9.99 with no reserve. The second time it is listed by MERCHVENT in the Antiques catagory with a starting price of $695.00. It is listed 3 more times - one from KATEM8650 for $99 and one from SUGAROO6000 for $9.99and finally from AUCTIONUS for $24.95. The freighter from Taiwan has arrived. Pay $10 or pay $700 - it is a fake at either price. Tell the sellers you saw it on TiffanyFakes.Com and maybe they will remove it.

The Tiffany Merry-Go-Round continues. JAMIECOHEN961 has relisted a fake Tiffany Studios lamp again. It sold on September 24th for $4150 and had 26 bids but it is for sale again. We will post the new sales price as soon as it sells again. What is causing all of these Tiffany Studios lamps to be offered again and again by these same sellers who use PRIVATE BIDDERS and all come from either the SOUTH EAST or SOUTHEASTERN COAST? Something does not seem right about this. These fakes are getting harder to sell again, again and again. It sold again. This time it sold for $2950 and had 17 bids. A high price for a cheap fake. Watch for it again.

PAPER LABELS - Remember that it is very easy to make a paper label and if it is affixed to a genuine piece of Tiffany Studios, it should be almost 100 years old. A lot of paper labels are beginning to show up on fake pieces so be very careful when you see this labels
