The candlesticks on the left and the right can be found on Ebay signed as either Tiffany & Company or Tiffany Studios and either signature is a fake. They are sold individually or as a pair. Think of the possibilities.

The fake lamp on the left is a perfect example of a seller who cannot seem to make up his mind. It is first listed and it appears like his local neighbors bid on it but it failed to meet reserve. Then it was relisted and the PRIVATE BUYER option is now being used. It is listed as "No Guarantees" but it is guaranteed to be "without liens or encumbrances".Thank goodness for that.

The lamp on the left and the lamp on the right are from different sellers but are both fakes. On one the seller cannot photograph the mark and on the other the seller does not want to remove the felt to photograph the mark. Sure, we want to bid on both.

Would you buy this fake lamp from a seller with a rating of 1 who lists the address as the Midwest and uses the PRIVATE feature. There are already 5 bids.

This is such an obvious fake that it really does not need to be on TiffanyFakes.Com except a great lesson can be learned by looking at it. You will probably want to use that seller's appraiser when you sell your fakes. It is believed that the appraisal is older than the lamp. A real nice example from THE_VERY_EXCITING_MARSHAL. We are excited for sure.

Check out FAYES_SOUTHERN_MEMORIES who has offered a fake Tiffany money clip along with other fakes that are "Fresh From The Blue Ridge Mountains" which is in Taiwan or China. They keep their feedback PRIVATE (92 negatives) and their bidders PRIVATE. Great place to get ripped off.

The lamp on the right is just a sample of Tiffany lamps that made their way from Taiwan to China and are coming back to the US. The clue is that the seller is charging $340.00 to ship them. The seller is SHOUCANG1688

This is back for the third time and it is still a fake but the seller has at least lowered the price. Check out the total lack of quality and look closely at the signature on the right. This is from SEASHORE-ANTIQUES who wants to sell you some antiques. Sure.

The lamp on the left is a wonderful offering from Ebay and that seller has listed a few other "Tiffany" lamps with some very confusing doublespeak about the authenticity of them. Additionally the seller has just started to use the PRIVATE BUYERS feature and after only 30 days on Ebay has changed his name. Now the seller is "No Longer a Registered User". Wonder what that means for those who purchased some of his lamps.

The lamp on the left is back and the story has changed yet again. This time the seller - ALCOWBOY1 - does not say they it is free from liens and encumberances but it is being offered without reserve and of course, it is a PRIVATE sale.

AUCTION HOUSE NEWS

These "auction house" auctions have sprung up all over Ebay so be very careful. The one thing they all offer is minimal descriptions, no guarantees and high buyer and shipping fees. Many of them are not real auctions and just list items on Ebay saying they are in an auction. Be very careful as they are great places to unload fake and fraudulently signed Tiffany. Check them out carefully and if there is something you are interested in, demand a guarantee before you bid. This guarantee will not make it real but it might offer some protection..

You have seen this listing on the right before on Ebay - once when the real owner listed it and it sold for $17,000 in this very same condition. Great shade and for real. Then it was listed by another 0 rated seller for $172 with no reserve .

Now it is relisted by yet another 0 rated seller TEIJANN and the one thing you can be sure of is this seller, like the second seller, does not have posession of it and is trying to scam someone. >>>

On the left is the newest rip off - paperweights that can be purchased for less than $15 and this one with the clockwise signature just sold for $190 by ESTATEDOCTOR. More of these fakes below. Of course the buyer's names are PRIVATE. Read his feedback before you bid.

Seller RANDY279 says this fake on the right was personally signed by LCT himself and was a wedding gift to his relatives. Besides fake Tiffany, he sells adult material on Ebay.

On the left is all of the signs of a scam in the making. The base and the shade are both fakes. The seller KURZOLG has a positive feedback of 12 - 2 are PRIVATE, 2 were removed and 7 were for purchases of items with a price of $.01. He offers no guarantee and there is already one bid. You have to wonder what the bidder is thinking about.

The pictures above are of a 2 vases - one listed by seller BLUEWOLFIE as a Tiffany vase circa 1897. In the listing the seller references a site where you would expect to find a Tiffany expert but instead you find a writer who claims no significant knowledge of Tiffany and has managed to list the dates and some of the marks that might be found on Tiffany glass. What can be told from the pictures is that the signature is most likely a fake. Had the writer read further, she would have discovered that Tiffany and the people who signed real pieces for Tiffany signed the pieces is a counter clockwise fashion. Now we have what might have been a real vase with a fake - very obvious fake - signature. How can you determine the real value and what do you do with a fake signature. The other one is also offered for sale but the seller indicates that it might be a fake. She is correct.

Tiffany did not make paperweights like these and the seller on the left is a long time seller of fakes. He says he gets them from estates but they come from a reproduction house.
