UPDATED - AUGUST
2007
Page 2
We continue to expand
and have decided to retain the photos of past fakes so as
to keep a reference library. Many of the fakes offered months,
weeks and days ago are relisted again and again. Remember
we are selling nothing, offering no services, reccomending
nobody and have no interest in knowing your e mail address.
We are a totally free service devoted to stopping the sale
of fake and fraudulent pieces of Tiffany Studios.

The paper label on the right
was used by Tiffany to mark some of his items and if it is
real, it should be nearly 100 years old. Remember that is
is very easy to duplicate a paper label - much easier that
etching a signature into a piece of glass or stamping a piece
of bronze..

Listed for another try by
DUCHESSDFURNISHINGS and is one of the finalists for the Ugly
Lamp Contest. This fake label from this lamp is shown on the
right and is starting to show up frequently so be on the watch
for it and whatever it is attached to.
|
|
The 3 pieces above were
listed by LEFTPOINTRESALE and contained some real garbage
wording about how Tiffany made these and how he signed them
but the truth is that Tiffany never had anything to do with
any of them and when this seller found his name on this
site, he completely changed the listings and made no mention
of Tiffany. He also received no bids on any of these uglies.

CWBPARKER

This is offered
by EATONSPORTS and that seller wants you to believe that it
was insured for $50,000 before it broke. 7415717637

The lamp on the left and
the lamp on the right have now been relisted by ANTIQUE_LAMPS2
(see below). The bridge lamp can also be found below from
where it was listed months ago by a different seller with
the same lousy credentials. Same picture - different seller.
|
|
See the lamps above. They
are back again. The same lamps are now listed by JACKSPANTIQUES
who, just like the other 3 times these lamps were listed,
has a 0 rating and has been on Ebay since May 13 of 2006.
Of course the seller is using the private feature but now
he is offering you the option of whether your name shows
or not. Kind of them. Why are these lamps constantly for
sale and everytime they are offered, it is a new seller?
How do they keep getting a new account on Ebay and finally,
why does the listing go away before it even ends? It must
take Ebay a few days to catch them and then they all have
become NO LONGER A REGISTERED USER. Make the guarantee that
is offered hard to collect on. They can be found in Georgia,
Nevada, Southeast and now Julia Robert's Hometown. Kinda
gives you a real warm and fuzzy feeling with a lot of security.
See below also.

|

|
The lamps on the left and
on the right are brand new on Ebay by seller ANTIQUE_LAMPS2.
This seller uses the PRIVATE feature and has a 0 feedback
rating. Within the last 24 hours he also had 2 other fake
lamps listed - a turtleback and a bridge lamp and they have
both been removed from Ebay by Ebay. Wonder why? Be very careful.
|
|
|
|
|
The lamps on the left
are signed as Tiffany & Company but the seller thinks
by listing them as Tiffany Studios lamps he would get more
attention. He got our attention.

This is a new fake with
a raised paw. The seller is WJLINC who has a problem shipping.
See his feedback and watch for the fake signature on the right.
Great quality in the signature. Look out for this seller who
says that the retail is $395.

The fake lamp on the left
is a perfect example of a seller who cannot seem to make up
his mind. It is first listed as Ebay 7380825841 and it appears
like his local neighbor bid on it but it failed to meet reserve.
Then it was relisted as Ebay 7383478031 and the PRIVATE BUYER
is now being used. It is listed as "No Guarantees"
but it is guaranteed to be "without liens or encumbrances".Thank
goodness for that.
|
|
|
Would you
buy this fake lamp from a seller with a rating of 1 who lists
the address as the Midwest and uses the PRIVATE feature. There
are already < 5 bids.
|
|
|
|
This is such an obvious
fake that it really does not need to be on TiffanyFakes.Com
except a great lesson can be learned by looking at Ebay listing
7384141514 and reading the complete listing. You will probably
want to use that seller's appraiser when you sell your fakes.
It is believed that the appraisal is older than the lamp.
A real nice example from THE_VERY_EXCITING_MARSHAL. We are
excited for sure.
|
|
|
Check out
FAYES_SOUTHERN_MEMORIES who has offered a fake Tiffany money
clip along with other fakes that are "Fresh From The
Blue Ridge Mountains" which is in Taiwan or China. They
keep their feedback PRIVATE (92 negatives) and their bidders
PRIVATE. Great place to get ripped off.
|
|
|
|
The lamps on the right are
just a sample of Tiffany lamps that made their way from Taiwan
to China and are coming back to the US. The clue is that the
seller is charging $340.00 to ship them. The seller is SHOUCANG1688
|
|
|
|
|
This is back
for the third time and it is still a fake but the seller has
at least lowered the price. Check out the total lack of quality
and look closely at the signature on the right. This is from
SEASHORE-ANTIQUES who wants to sell you some antiques. Sure
SEASHORE-ANTIQUES

|
|
|
The lamp on the left
is a wonderful offering from Ebay 7384349695 - and that
seller has listed a few other "Tiffany" lamps
with some very confusing doublespeak about the authenticity
of them. Additionally the seller has just started to use
the PRIVATE BUYERS feature and after only 30 days on Ebay
has changed his name. Now it is "No Longer a Registered
User". Wonder what that means for those who purchased
some of his lamps.
|
|
|
The lamp on the left is
back and the story has changed yet again. This time the seller
- ALCOWBOY1 - does not say they it is free from liens and
encumberances but it is being offered without reserve and
of course, it is a PRIVATE sale.<

AUCTION HOUSE NEWS
These "auction
house" auctions have sprung up all over Ebay so be
very careful. The one thing they all offer is minimal descriptions,
no guarantees and high buyer and shipping fees. Many of
them are not real auctions and just list items on Ebay saying
they are in an auction. Be very careful as they are great
places to unload fake and fraudulently signed Tiffany. Check
them out carefully and if there is something you are interested
in, demand a guarantee before you bid. This guarantee will
not make it real but it might offer some protection..
|
You have
seen this listing on the right before on Ebay - once when
the real owner listed it and it sold for $17,000 in this
very same condition. Great shade and for real. Then it was
listed by another 0 rated seller for $172 with no reserve
>>>
|
Now it
is relisted by yet another 0 rated seller TEIJANN - as Ebay
item 7411916040 and the one thing you can be sure of is
this seller, like the second seller, does not have posession
of it and is trying to scam someone. >>>
