PSSST, HAVE I GOT A DEAL FOR YOU FROM NARUKO

One of the early contributors to TiffanyFakes.Com is NARUKO who has several listing for Tiffany Studios items. One is for a Tiffany (?) window. It is Ebay 120176213666 and it offers an excellent education in reading and understanding sales pitches. Read the listing carefully. The seller is offering an opportunity to buy one of these windows which "should bring between $250K and $350K" but you can purchase it from him for only $145,000. You are going to be his new best friend but before you run off and spend all of this money you are going to make, you need to take a few minutes and read his 18 negative feedbacks. They are not the usual took too long to ship, poor communication or postage too high feedback. After a review of the feedback, the following are excerpts: "reproduction", "fakes", "not original", "false goods", "very misleading", "fraud", "new repo" and several of them comment on the fact that the seller will not honor his own printed guarantee. Such a deal. The seller wants to sell some lamps but gives you a lot of talk about his guarantee which applies to paintings. If you feel like you want to gamble with this seller, ask for a specific guarantee and ask that it be placed in the listing. Some of their listings have a return policy and some do not. One says it can be returned for store credit only but must be returned within 7 days and it must be accompanied by a "signed written statement by a professionally recognized and qualified authority". but do not forget to get all of this done within the 7 days. You can imagine what a store credit could be worth from this seller. This seller also uses the Private Bidder feature and this Ebay option should never be offered to any seller with feedback like this seller has. The Tiffany (?) items this seller has been listing lately have not had one single offer which should tell them that buyers are not totally stupid. Remember the best piece of Tiffany you ever buy should be real.

WHAT MAKES IT FAKE?

In order to be genuine Tiffany, it must be described correctly. A vase with a fake signature or a lamp with a genuine base and a fake shade or a desk set piece with a missing or altered part will all be placed on this site. Recently we have seen several examples of this and also have seen lamp parts put together or modifications made to a genuine lamp which does not make them genuine. If you have interest in a listing and you cannot see the item clearly, the signature is not shown or the base is not shown, do not bid. Ask for additional pictures and insist they be placed as a revision to the listing. Some auction houses are masters of deception with their one picture and lack of a guarantee and then they expect you to bid and pay upwards of 20 percent commission. If it is called Tiffany, then it should be guaranteed to be genuine Tiffany. Do not settle for less.

NOT EVERY FAKE IS ON THIS SITE. - USE COMMON SENSE WHEN YOU BID. RECENTLY THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW BROKEN AND REPAIRED PIECES OF TIFFANY GLASS OFFERED FOR SALE. IF IT IS DAMAGED, WE DO NOT LOOK TO SEE IF IT IS GENUINE. WHO WOULD WANT A BROKEN AND REPAIRED PIECE OF TIFFANY GLASS?

IS THIS FOR REAL? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Is it a real Tiffany lamp or is it a genuine Ebay listing? Zero rated seller, new to Ebay December 8, 2007, and no other pictures. Be very careful and let us know how this comes out if you are the buyer. Accepts PayPal. MICHAEL.JOSE2221

--OF COURSE IT IS NOT-- We still do not know about the lamp but more importantly, we do know that the seller is a fake. Ebay finally woke up and realized what was happening here and this seller has been disconnected. 7 bids were placed and hopefully the seller did not make a deal off Ebay. Pay attention.

EBAY-230210035539

BEN.WORLEY

They have used at least 30 different names, usually with a 0 rating and always with a fake Tiffany lamp and they can be found on almost every page of TiffanyFakes.Com. It had 5 bids (now there is only 1) up to $10,000 but of course, the names of the bidders are kept PRIVATE. Most likely they are shills and if it runs the normal course, they will try and sell off Ebay. Who would bid on a Tiffany lamp offered by a 0 rated seller? No guarantee in the listing and no PayPal. Finally, the shade shown in the listing is NOT the same as sold in the auctions mentioned. Those sold were real and this is not. Ask about an escrow sale. Ask to see the base signature and if you get a photo, e mail it to us. News-Ebay took 3 days but this seller is No Longer A Registered User. Way to go Ebay.

DUMOART

DuMouchelles Detriot These fake lamp bases are offered for auction from a frequent contributor to this site who has 54 negatives and then wants to add 22% to the sale price for this pair of fakes..

Mid-Hudson Galleries This fake is offered for sale by an auction house in New York state with 19 negatives, one photo and then wants you to pay an additional 20% to the sale price for this fake. Stay away.

CHECK OUT THIS SCAM

The lamp shown on the left is currently listed on Ebay as 160203462204 by a brand new seller named CHARSUTHERLAND who has been on Ebay for 3 days. No photos of the base signature and no photos of the shade signature. When the telephone number for this seller is dialed, guess what? Why would anyone bid on a Tiffany lamp from a 0 rated seller? This lamp is familiar as it was offered many times from the group out of Atlanta and it is possible that they are offering it again or maybe the photos were stolen from those thieves. Pay attention and you will not get robbed.
